Not that it's a popularity contest or anything...
After analyzing the sales data for 2008, I noticed the following particle sales trends:
Theoreticals in the lead
The Theoreticals 4-pack is by far the top selling pack. People seem to want what they cannot find. The Higgs boson alone accounted for 14% of total sales.
Maybe it's the eyelashes
Though it was a close race, protons topped neutrons, with electrons right in between.
Top tops charm
Even with all their charm, the charm quarks were not as popular as their heavier cousins the top quarks.
Neutrino sales oscillation
Overall, electron-neutrinos outsold muon- and tau-neutrinos 2 to 1. But month to month, muon-neutrinos and tau-neutrinos oscillated between who was the top seller. The tau-neutrino was the only neutrino more popular than its associated lepton, the tau.
Bottom on the bottom
The poor bottom quark, despite his cheerful vibrant green, remained the lowest-selling of the quarks.
Now this is strange
The antistrange quark was the most popular antiparticle and the strange quark the most popular of all the quarks.
Boson buddies
Usually neck-in-neck from month to month, overall, W boson sales slightly topped the Z boson.
Upbeat up beats down
I guess it makes sense that you would want an up quark over a down quark.
They like the darkness
Dark matter and photon were the second and third most popular particles respectively.
Positively last
Exactly 5 times more electrons were sold than positrons. The antiparticle 11-pack was the least popular pack.
The U.K. hearts particles
Exactly 50% of orders came from the U.S., but a whopping 23% came from the U.K., followed by Germany (5%), Canada (4%), Spain (3%), Switzerland (3%), Australia (2%), Italy (1%) and 24 other countries.
